Current Information:Age-28 15G Broad Street Station Dwellings, Finsbury Avenue Mazingarbe Communal Cemetery, France The 6th London Battalion had arrived in France in March 1915 to become part of 140 Brigade, 47th Division. On 6th July they moved into the front line near Mazingarbe in northern France and remained in this sector for the remainder of the month. The battalion diary does not go into much detail about this period other than to say that the Germans were far more active here. |
